The Elgar Birthplace Museum's online catalogue provides a means for the public to find out more about the entire collection, whether currently on display or in store. It has details of items written by or to Edward Elgar, together with letters written to or from family and friends. Many items have digital images available. The catalogue is designed to help you whether you are trying to find out what collection items are relevant to your research, or want to find out what kind of things are in the Museum, or would like to buy a digital image of an item listed in the catalogue.
The catalogue is a work in progress, but we are regularly uploading more records to it, and adding more detail to some of the existing records.
To avoid problems when the website and catalogue are launched we will initially only have a few hundred entries on the catalogue but will be adding to these on a weekly basis.
We have the entire manuscript collection details available on the online catalogue, together with a small selection of items from other collection groups.
